The Higgins Armory has put their Katzbalger on display in its new Sword exhibit.

Observation: The blade is longer than our cut down Katzbalgers, but I was not able to take a measurement. (You can get an ideaby comparing the grip.)

I had a brief conversation with Jeffry Forgeng about the sword. His opinion is artifact is not an officers' sword, and would be too short for effective horse back use. His opinion is that it was an infantry man's sword.
