Icons or Avatars  must be in a Web safe format (JPEG, GIF, or PNG) and the image must be 50 x 50 pixels in size.  This is really small, so choose your image appropriately, i.e a closeup. 

1 - Log into the forum.

2 - Click the Profile link at the top of the page.

3 - Scroll down to the Avatar section.

4 - Click the Browse button and navigate to the image you want to upload.

5 - Select the image and click Open.

6 - Click Update Profile at the bottom of the page.

If you've got an image that you want to turn into an icon, but aren't sure how to do it, I'd be happy to do it for you.  Just e-mail me the image.
