A link to some really nice proffessional photos of this year's School for the Rennaissance Soldier - Actions of the Lowe Countries.

Those painted army blocks gave me an idea. Would the Hauptmann have something similar to show off his tactical prowess? Or would he have some sketch maps of his participation in campaigns as a kind of resume? Besides showing up with an company that looks fearsome, how did the Lansknechts get hired, how did a unit establish its reputation?
Anyway a hauptman's resume would be an interesting thing to show off to visitors.

I enjoyed these photos very much. I especially enjoyed the variety of head wear!

At last year's school demo Gustav had a map of the italian states (the map closest to our time that we've been able to find) and a list of the articles of war. I think it would be awesome if he had some more props for showing off the more hauptma-y stuff that he has to do as leader of a fahnlein. I have not seen evidence of the sorts of block in the California photos, but then my research does not often cover much military strategy.
