I struck up a friendship with a Bavarian re-enactor whose interest in the 17thC is only budding but who has a strong interest in the 16thC and Landsknechts. He is a member of:
http://www.communitas-gladii.de and handles a variety of swords.

He says they are the “show-fight-group” of the “Herzogstadt,” the main organisation comprised of several small
groups: dancers, singers, farmers …

This is the organisation, that organizes the
Drills two time in a Year (spring and autumn)

The numbers participating in Germany are impressive! As is the wide spectrum of vocations and historical people represented in http://www.herzogstadt.de That 2012 Hurra should be quite an event.
