Some of you have heard us talk of Reenactorfest, a weekend event in Chicago for and by reenactors. I know that Tom, Amanda, Julie, Alena, and I will be heading out again this year. Autumn Tree Productions, my entertainment/educational company, leads a number of seminars at RF, so some of us are busy during the day, but we still have the time to make other panels, shop, and hang out with other folks in this crazy hobby! Very likely you would enjoy it, too. We'll be looking to book our tickets much earlier this year, and if you book rooms before the end of the year there's a discount. The biggest expense is, of course, the flight as it is in Chicago, but the hotel we are in is fabulous, good food is a very short walk, and the atmosphere and people are worth every penny! Where else can a Landsknecht rub shoulders with Roman leggionaires and General Robert E. Lee?

Let us know if you're planning to go out. I suspect Julie would share a room with some one, and doubling (or tripling) up is never a bad thing! We generally fly into O'Hare Friday morning, split a rental car, and fly home on Sunday afternoon.
