I was looking around for some nice leather gloves after envying Julie's last weekend and I found this site online. They seem to have a good variety both lined and unlined, and fair prices. I like the mittens too for those of us who get cold hands. I'm pretty sure the elastic could just be popped off the glove backs to make them a little more period looking, and pretty much all modern gloves are made with that now anyway.

These are similar to the leather working gloves that I leave in my truck for working dogs.  

FYI - I picked mine up at Ocean State Job lot for about $5.00.  I usually buy them 3-4 at a time when I find them in my size.
