I'm wondering if we should reinterpret when women wear a purse.  I noticed a woman in a woodcut wearing one while she was cooking.  Thoughts?

Good eye. Maybe she is selling the food she is cooking. If that was the case she would logically need somewhere to keep her earnings and coin to make change.

Most of the woodcuts I've looked at show women wearing purses all the time (marching, cooking, etc.).  I guess I'm confused about what we're supposed to reinterpret?   Were we saying only wear them at certain times?
