Landsknecht Guild

At Twelfth Night we talked about organizing the Guild pantry staples.  I recently replaced my kitchen cannisters and just realized that instead of donating my old Tupperware cannisters to Goodwill, I should offer them up to the Guild.

I have six solid white Tupperware cannisters (two large, and the other four in decreasing sizes, like Russian nesting dolls) that we can use.  Since they're white, we can use a Sharpie to label them (Flour, sugar, rice, wheat, etc.). 

I'd rather use Tupperware due to rain and ants, and try to find a way to hide them out of site, rather go with more period storage.  The thought of ants in the food really squicks me out, and we've been lucky so far not to attract them.  Just bees.  =P

What say the rest of the frauen?

I think it's a fine idea since you have them to offer.  I don't think we will ever find anything period that will be as good at keeping out the bugs.  Just having the staples in containers, clearly marked, outside of bags, will be extremely helpful!

I still think we need to have some kind of shelf in the tent on which we can display these items.  Perhaps Tibor can make us something.  I will think about what I have at home that can be used during the run as well.
