Hi Folks, sorry this is coming out so late this week. Here are our dishes for this weekend with rough ingredient lists so if you need to make other food arrangements, you have some time to do so.

Saturday Evening:

Compost – pickled cabbage, turnips, carrots, radishes, pears and currants in a broth of vinegar, honey and white wine (and spices, of course)

Egarduse – white fish (not sure what kind yet) in a sauce of vinegar, onions, currants, and spices (of course)

Frumenty – wheat or barley cooked in a vegetable broth

Peeres in Confit – pears poached in a sauce of red wine, blackberries, ginger and cloves

Sunday mid-Day:

Puffed Apples (or baked apples) – basically, apples in dough

Emperor’s Fritters – cheese fritters (hopefully from cheese we made the night before)

Chyches – roasted chickpeas with garlic and olive oil (and spices of course)

Buknade – chicken soup with parsley, eggs to thicken and spices (of course)

Compost – there will probably be some left-over from yesterday
